Jason Reynolds is a #1 New York Times bestselling author known for award-winning books such as Look Both Ways, Long Way Down, and Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You. A recipient of numerous accolades, including a Newbery Honor and NAACP Image Award, he served as the 2020-2022 National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature.

Born in Washington, DC, Reynolds began writing poetry at age nine, inspired by rap music. He transitioned to prose with his debut novel, When I Was The Greatest (2014), earning the Coretta Scott King/John Steptoe Award for New Talent. His acclaimed works include the Track series (Ghost, Patina, Sunny), As Brave As You, and Miles Morales: Spider-Man. Reynolds also returned to poetry with Long Way Down, a novel in verse that received multiple honors.
